Aurora Innovation Centre

The Aurora Innovation Centre creates a space within British Antarctic Survey where new ideas, out-of-the-box thinking and new connections can lead to cross-science breakthroughs and new partnerships. Co-funded by NERC and University of Cambridge, the Aurora Innovation Centre aims to generate new academic, business and policy partnerships that focus on excellent research and entrepreneurial activity in the areas of climate change, environmental stewardship and technologies for challenging environments.

Biodata Innovation Centre (BIC), Wellcome Genome Campus

Leasable office spaces are within a range of dry lab units at sizes to suit individuals and early start-ups, through to larger and more established businesses. Unit sizes range from 19m2 to 330m2. Businesses located in the BIC benefit from the array of existing amenities and services on the Campus, including world-class information technology and bioinformatics infrastructure and services.

Accelerate@Babraham, Babraham Research Campus

The aim of Accelerate@Babraham is to support the development of science concepts, the creation of new companies and help to grow early stage biomedical ventures by providing access to equipped communal laboratories on short-term agreements, as well as guidance from mentors and introductions to investors.

NIAB Innovation Hub

The NIAB Innovation Hub is a purpose-built facility in the heart of Cambridgeshire, facilitated by funding from the Eastern Agritech Growth Initiative. This unique centre has a particular focus on fresh produce and field vegetables generally. We welcome farmers and growers, food businesses, and other users wishing to engage in applied research work to reduce or re-use all forms of waste in the food supply chain and improve resource use efficiency in its production.

St. John’s Innovation Centre

St John’s Innovation Centre was established by St John’s College, part of the University of Cambridge in 1987 as part of St John’s Innovation Park, which now hosts a number of other buildings occupied by knowledge companies and professional services firms. The site provides a campus setting close to both the city centre and major transport arteries.

Officers Mess Business Centre, Duxford

Here our office facilities are created out of spaces that were once used for the day-to-day running of the Officers’ Mess, now a Grade II listed building, and part of the historic Duxford Airfield in South Cambridgeshire. The Officers’ Mess offers all the facilities that come as standard at a Mantle Business Centre: serviced offices, co-working, dedicated desks, virtual offices and meeting rooms, equipped with the latest technology and 24/7 access.

Frame Shift Bio-incubator

The Milner Therapeutics Institute provides space for start-ups and SMEs through the Frame Shift Bio-incubator.

Frame Shift provides a unique environment for companies to work side-by-side with startups, pharma and academic scientists in an ecosystem physically and culturally designed to spark collaboration and entrepreneurship. Frame Shift has a particular focus on R&D intensive companies working in areas related to the institute’s expertise (e.g. functional genomics, early target discovery, therapeutics). Frame Shift complements other programmes such as the Start Codon Accelerator, providing flexible options for start-up companies at different stages in their development.

The Mill SciTech Park

o2h co-work labs operate the 2.76 acre heritage Hauxton Mill site where the o2h group is shaping one of the region’s most buzzing community of entrepreneurs in life-science, technology and green innovation.

The first phase of the renovation including high speciation biology labs and boutique office spaces is complete. The Mill SciTech park redevelopment intimately blends innovation, English heritage and natural beauty.
