What Is Cambridge&
Cambridge& is a not-for-profit company. We incorporated in 2020.

Our aim is to attract the highest quality individuals and organisations in the knowledge intensive industries from around the globe into our ecosystem.

Our key roles are to:

• Promote and support the sustainable growth of Greater Cambridge
• Serve and collaborate with the existing networks and stakeholders by identifying and pursuing globally minded innovation, science and technology businesses to set up or grow in Cambridge, attracting those firms that complement and strengthen the ecosystem, enhancing the Quality of Life of the region

Cambridge& is formally supported by a number of significant Supporting Organisations. They are the University of Cambridge, the Greater Cambridge Partnership, Cambridge Innovation Capital, Deloitte, Taylor Wessing, Lexington Communications and The Bradfield Centre, Bruntwood, MAG/Stansted Airport, Brockton Everlast, Barclays and Business Weekly as our Media Partner. Its creation has been developed through deep collaboration with key business organisations, academia and the civic community. It has seen the drawing together of each crucial segment of our ecosystem in support of Cambridge&.

The consequences are expected to be many fold - increasing high quality international investment and encouraging a larger pool of significant talent and skills. Crucially, given the unique nature of Cambridge, our success will benefit all those living and working in the region, and the wider UK economy.

We work collaboratively with many established networks in the ecosystem. We aim to promote a model example of a coordinated, outward, globally facing Cambridge, celebrating the pride we have in our ecosystem and the diversity of our talent.

Cambridge& is the collective promotion tool for Greater Cambridge on behalf of all local organisations, stakeholders and key institutions.

We are joined up into a single delivery vehicle at the ecosystem level, enabling swift, targeted and effective coordination for organisations. We have an agreed and united vision and strategy for inward investment across Greater Cambridge.

Our primary role is to be your front door to Greater Cambridge to help enable you to navigate our ecosystem effectively. We will work with you to identify how Greater Cambridge can meet your needs. We have access to global innovation, science, and technology businesses, our Universities, entrepreneurs, investors and world class talent to help you relocate, set up or grow here.

Our services include:

• Promoting the Cambridge Story to the world
• Providing you with ‘the Cambridge Story’ through our website and marketing collateral and briefing you on the Cambridge ecosystem
• The creation of tailored, customised propositions for your organisation to help you with the evidence base for consideration of Cambridge as your investment location
• Signposting you to key stakeholders in the ecosystem and/or arranging targeted 1-1 meetings or a more in-depth programme of meetings, including access to expert advice on skills and fund raising
• Identification of possible locations/sites for investment and support with access to relevant stakeholders eg: property developers and Councils
• Showcasing of relevant events and activities taking place in the ecosystem and how to be involved and integrate quickly, including for individual team members
• A process to capture and nurture our relations with you including building links to multiple individuals in your company and supporting you through evaluation/decision phases to investment commitment
• Overseeing, developing and managing appropriate inward investor missions/groups of companies

Our key ambition is to bring efficiency of effort and collaboration between the many world class groups in our ecosystem, to ensure you receive a seamless level of support in accessing the right contacts at the right time for you.
